This seems to indicate that .NET Framework 2.1 (i.e., 3.5) is required. I am running on Windows 10 v1909 x64 with *only* .NET 4.8. I installed LastPass with Universal Installer 4.36.1 (x64).

However, I was able to install the Windows App version from the Windows Store, and it runs correctly. The Universal Installer has an old version of the Windows App in the included appx file (lpwinmetro.appxbundle = version The PowerShell shortcut that tries to update it also fails to detect that a newer version is install, uninstalls it, and tries to install the old version which fails. This results in the app not being installed. Can you please update the Universal Installer?

Furthermore, putting the PowerShell-based updater shorcuts in the Start Menu\Programs\StartUp folder is not a good way to do it. You should set these up as in Scheduled Tasks, just like the task that runs Updater.exe. Otherwise, the updater generates a visible window that flashes on screen for each update, due to a bug in PowerShell.exe -WindowStyle hidden (

Try adding this parameter to the end of their command POWERSHELLVERSION=<the version of powershell you have installed>

We can't install the UWP App either. The installer says sideloading is not enabled (it definitely is) and when we try to install the appxbunble, we get an error about an incorrect manifest.

Not super worried about is since the web interface seems more user friendly than the UWP app, but if that's the direct stuff is going, we want our users to be familiar with that option.

Has anyone gotten this thing installed machine wide for Windows 8.1/Server 2012 R2?
