Possible Memory Leak?

Postby bspillman9190 » Mon May 20, 2019 11:00 pm

Hello!

Ever since installing the LastPass extension in FireFox, I've been noticing very heavy memory usage in FireFox. I've narrowed it down to the LastPass extension through "about:memory" (I'll attach a screenshot).

Here's some system specifics:
OS: Windows 10
Browser: Firefox 66.0.5 (64 bit)
LastPass Extension Version: 4.28.0.4

Observations:
When watching memory allocation, a huge chunk of memory allocated in the LastPass extension memory space. (See https://imgur.com/a/znYocAf for detail).

I'll be watching this thread, if more info is needed, let me know.

Thanks!

I also see what seems to be an exorbitant amount of memory with the Lastpass plug-in enabled (version installed 9/20/2019)

7 tabs open, and 64 bit Firefox 69.0.1 is eating up 796.6 MB. No multimedia playing.

MS Edge reports similar excessive memory usage, with only a few tabs open.

I'm seeing something similar under macOS Catalina (10.15) with the LastPass context menu, using LastPass with Chrome and Safari - LastPass is using approx 1.8GB(!!!) of RAM - so the problem isn't limited to Windows.

Same here. Using Catalina 10.15 and last pass is using 1.85GB!

Is anyone from LastPass reading this thread?

I am seeing memory leaks, only when LastPass is enabled. In Chrome's dev tools, I see onloadwff.js:71 implicated in a number of Detached HTMLFormElement.

Anxiously looking forward to a reply.
