Chrome Extension - breaks pages using position:fixed

Postby belgarion2k » Wed Apr 26, 2017 5:18 am

Due to the way the chrome plugin creates the button element for filling an input, if that input is part of a position:fixed element which is off the screen, it lands up creating a scrollable page and breaking the intended website layout.

Simple example:

Create a div with the following css:
Code: Select All Code
.sidebar {
  position: fixed;
  top: 0;
  right: 0;
  width: 100px;
  height: 100px;
  background: #ccc;
  transform: translateX(100%);
  transition: transform 1s;

Without the lastpass plugin this shows your regular page and the div is hidden off the edge of the screen. Changing the translateX() to 0% will then slide the div into view. |

With the lastpass plugin a horizontal scrollbar is added - scrolling it creates an infinite scrolling and if you change the translateX() to 0% the scrollbar dissapears.

It seems that LastPass hasn't fixed this issue because today I bumped to the same issue with Firefox and Chrome. I'm also using off screen sidebar with position: fixed and same infinite scrolling comes in which is annoying. Has anyone found a solution for this? Or even better, is LastPass planning to fix this issue?
