Firefox 64-bit

Postby Shane » Wed Dec 23, 2015 10:33 pm

Greetings,

If I removed Mozilla Firefox 32-bit, and installed the 64-bit version, will the Lastpass extension still work?

Thanks,
Shane.

As of 19 Aug 2017 it doesn't work. The icon is there in Firefox, the login to LastPass works, but all the folders with my logins and passwords are empty. I think that qualifies as "it doesn't work with 64-bit FF 55.0."

If you do a straight upgrade it might not work. My Lastpass plugin didn't - the icon was there and the lastpass login worked, but there were no sites listed in any folder. My solution was to Refresh FF which removed all addons. Then I went to the Mozilla addons site and clicked on the addons that were shown to "work with my version." Restarted the machine and logged in to LastPass. This time all my sites were there, whereas with the straight upgrade (old addons in place) none of my Lastpass sites appeared. ymmv.

For anyone else that runs across this post like I did...

For me the key was uninstalling FF, reboot, install FF with the new installer, then install LastPass from their website instead of from FF addon search. To me honest it is probably the last piece of installing directly from the LastPass website.
