Open Vault with Groups Collapsed

Postby Trevor » Wed Mar 04, 2009 8:54 am

I'm adding this as a feature request because I can't find a way to do it (having looked through Preferences and context menus, etc.). But if it's already available, please forgive me and point me in the right direction!

When I open my LP vault (Fx 3.0.6), it always opens with all Groups expanded (irrespective of what state it was in when I closed it). I'd like it to open with all Groups collapsed (easier to find what I'm looking for), or alternatively to remember the state in which it was last closed.

Regardless of that, all-in-all an excellent product: the best iI've found!

We currently persist the open/collapsed state when searching, but not after you logoff or close your browser.
Good idea...we've added it to our todo list.

Thanks,

Thanks.

Can I suggest that when you implement it that there are 3 options:
    - always open collapsed
    - always open expanded
    - remember last state
Cheers

I think we would probably just always remember last state.
We already have "Expand All" and "Collapse All" on the vault page, so if needed that's just a single click away.

Thanks

I use chrome/bookmarklets (don't know if thats a factor) - but I can't see where the Expand All/Collapse All options are?

:geek: Maybe I'm being myopic...

Timmah! It's in the IE/Firefox addons 'LastPass Icon' -> My LastPass Vault -- you should definitely try the addons as they're quite advanced compared to the bookmarklet.

Joe! I use Chrome!

If I use IE, I will have devolved.

Don't see why the expand collapse groups can't be added to the password manager page as well...

Timmah! It is probably reasonable to add it, Firefox is still a good choice too.

I'd like to chime in on the request to have more control on the state of the Expand/Collapse. My preference would be that the groups either open in Collapsed mode, or As Last Used.

Also, I'm using the setting for "Firefox Open Sites as Sidebar". I don't see a Collapse or Expand All button in the side bar. Am I misunderstanding, or should it be available?
