It doesn't really behave the same, because you can't use a keyboard shortcut to copy the password anymore. ⌘C does not do so on my Mac, and I have to use the mouse, which defeats the whole purpose.

Can't say I've ever tried to use stacked keyboard shortcuts like that. What happens when there's multiple results? Which one would ⌘C apply to? How do you copy your username too?

It shows which one is highlighted and you can press arrow up/down to select. You just can't copy like you used to be able to.

Like others have said the ability to quickly pull up a search bar find an account and copy that password was _the_ feature that I used most and loved about LastPass. Please bring this feature and functionality back!

This is terrible change! The main functionality of Mac app is gone. Quick search + copy password was the spirit of this app.
Shame on you LastPass.

I can't believe this has now gone! I had to uninstall and re-install the OSX lastpass today because of another issue, and it has disappeared. This is essentially the _only_ reason I use the OSX client. If I'm in a terminal its cmd+L, type a few characters, CTRL+C, CTRL+V without touching the mouse.

Please bring it back!

As jas8522 mentioned, the keyboard shortcut does still exist
jas8522 Wrote:Go to the preferences in the Mac App and choose the Hotkeys tab. Click in the "Site Search" box and press all of your preferred keys to use. Click Save.

HOWEVER, the functionality did change in (at least) 2 ways:
  1. As swrobel and others mentioned, the ⌘C copy password keyboard shortcut no longer exists within the Site Search
  2. The Site Search hotkey only works when you are logged in to the app now. So if you have auto-logout set, you now have to manually log in to the app and then either search from the app or then launch the site search. Totally inefficient compared to the previous version of the app where if you were logged out, the hotkey still worked and just showed the log in screen so that you could log in and then once you did, it then displayed the site search all in one seamless workflow.

At least for issue #1, there is good news! You can still copy the password with the keyboard!
  1. Launch Site Search and search for your site
  2. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the site you want
  3. Use the left/right arrows to highlight the desired action, including Copy Password
  4. Press Enter to execute highlighted action

The second issue is a major pain in the a$$, though, and is a totally unacceptable change in behavior. Sure, I guess I could just leave the app logged in all the time so that anyone who happens to have access to my computer can just have access to my entire password vault, but that's obviously a completely ridiculous solution.

@kjl5891, are there instructions or extra settings for using the arrows keys as you've described? When I attempt to follow your directions, I press the <right> key, lastpass hangs for ~5 seconds, and then it copies my username to the clipboard--there seems to be no way to select "password" as you describe above. This is certainly progress though!

Quick search is broken still in 4.40 build. I am still using the 4.4 build on my Macs, because of quick search.

1. Comes with default key binding
2. cmd+c copies password from quick search without mouse interaction.

The pure keyboard interaction is the #1 usability feature of the platform for me.
