Just got Macbook with Touch ID and compared 1password with lastpass for touchID support and I must say its quite abysmal. So +1 for this feature.

This thread is now 14 months old and this feature is still missing. Lastpass team, is there a technical reason for this not happening? Perhaps the way TouchID is implemented in Mac OS does not allow usage in the browser - it only works in applications like the lastpass app and 1password? I'm surprised by the silence on the matter. For LP mac OS users with TouchID enabled macs, this functionality would be a huge boon in user experience. Leaving us in the dark doesn't help. What is the deal here?

Another one who recently bought MBP w/ Touch ID. I was actually expecting this feature to there and surprised that it is not there in Chrome browser. I understand it exists on the MacOS app, but no one uses that. We need it integrated with the autofill browser functionality.

C'mon, you haven't implemented this by now... Seriously?

Extremely disheartening.

I've submitted a support request asking when Touch ID will be supported. The answer was the same as a year+ ago: It is on a road-map, but there is no any ETA.
I guess, it is time to start looking at 1password.

I thought I had a solution, but maybe not!! I have both the LP preferences on the Chrome browser and the LP app preferences set to log off quickly. When I want to use LP to log into a website, the login screen from the Chrome LP extension comes up, but since I have not enabled "Remember Password", it sits there waiting. I then start the LP app, which does have Remember Password enabled, but also Use Touch ID. So the app asks me to use the fingerprint reader on the MBP, and when I touch the reader, it logs me in to both the app and Chrome.

So that seemed like a workable solution. But then I realized that once I tell the app to login and it brings up the dialog box that instructs me to use the fingerprint reader, the LP extension in the Chrome browser immediately logs me in (without a password or Touch ID). This is bizarre!

Thanks,
Reza
