U2F has been out for 4 years now. All the major browsers support it (Microsoft Edge announced in October) and most competing password managers support it. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for LastPass not to support this more secure 2fa protocol especially with the recent news about breaking OTP 2fa using a MITM attack.

If LastPass is not going to take security seriously, I'll have no choice but to switch to a company that does. I've already cancelled my automatic renewal. I sincerely hope LastPass changes it's stance on this so I can resubscribe.

Also would really like U2F support. I prefer last pass, but am willing to look at alternatives if this feature is not at least put on a published road map with timeline in the near future.

I'm waiting for U2F FIDO support as well - I've recently ordered a Feitian FIDO key which I'd like to use with LastPass.

Other FIDO2 devices than Yubikey

Postby martinigm » Wed Jan 02, 2019 6:11 pm

Hi,
I see you are pretty much covered on the Yubikey 5 FIDO2 front... but I've purchased a Feitian FIDO2. Is it possible to connect this FIDO2 certified device to Lastpass also? Not only the less secure Yubikey?

Another year pass... and no news from Lastpass for FIDO support :( I think is time to move to other services

I am leaving Lastpass on account of this unresponsiveness. You clearly are no longer keeping pace with the innovation in this field. I suggest others do the same.

IF you delete your account, pay attention to remove "watch this thread feature of this forum program" because even after you delete your account, you will still receive e-mail notifications :P Even, in theory, when your account data was deleted (it is not deleted from their server).

U2F Request

Postby c401 » Wed Jan 16, 2019 5:44 pm

Hi!

Long time LastPass user. Started looking for something else when it appeared that U2F support isn't coming anytime soon, but just can't find anything that I'm anywhere near as happy with as LastPass.

I'm sticking around because your product is first class. REALLY need U2F support soon, though. Phishing is getting so much more sophisticated, and I need the protection. Seems like there's plenty of browser support.

+1 U2F has been around for ages now, it is getting embarrassing for LastPass not to support U2F tokens already.
