Want to Be the First to Try New LastPass Features?

Postby sameer » Fri Sep 05, 2008 12:04 am

Are you interested in trying some of our latest and greatest features?
Are you interested in helping us shape the product by giving us feedback while it's still being formed?
Do you like trying "bleeding edge" software?

If yes, you might be interested in joining our Pre-Build team.
To read more about it and sign up, see https://lastpass.com/pbt.php

Things that we'll soon be needing the PreBuild team to try :
- IE8 fixes
- mobile web page support
- local search
- LastPass Pocket on linux
- and more!

Thanks,
Team LastPass

I run multiple operating systems on several HDDs and find LastPass invaluable for the many logons that I need. :geek:

Are there updates in progress for
- Firefox 4.0 b6 (currently disabled addon) on Win 7 Pro 64 bit
- IE9 (as soon as it appears!) on Win 7 Pro 64 bit
- Firefox 3.6 on SuSE 11.1 Linux
- Firefox 3.6 on PC-BSD 8.1

If so, any chance of me testing them :?:

Although Firefox 4.0 b6 reported that LastPass 1.69.1 would be disabled on restart, I enabled it and it works properly as far as I can tell.

The addons manager still says it's "incompatible with this version of Firefox"

The same thing appears to be happening with some other addons, but of course, this is not the place to bring them up!

Correction - the LastPass side bar appears not to work in FF 4.0 b6 .................

I would love to see the Eikon integration as well. I just got some Yubi Keys, this combined with a fingerprint sensor would make it the most hard to crack system ever. Fingerprint alone is not save, as it can be cloned with some work, yubi key doesnt proof who is the person so anyone can use it, password is actually what you know, and with fingerprint combination it would be what you know, what you have (yubi key) and who you are.

Eikon could be used only for some stuff, like when I edit data or log into certain websites I have to swipe the finger for extra security instead of putting the master password, if no fingerprint device is connected then optional use the master password.

So maybe it could be like first login with master password and yubi key (not sure how that works as I did not received them yet) and then you can use lastpass like usual but for some websites a extra layer where you have to swipe the finger, good if you go away of the computer for a while and want to avoid someone logging into sensitive apps or websites, and typing the master password each time (if you set a low expiration session time) is just a bugger. Then im in the same spot i was with e-wallet where I have to retype master password all the time as I had it set to lock itself after 20 minutes.

The only think that would make me replace e-wallet completely is to have my data in my cell phone offline as well, something which I tested in winmo, and if you are not connected to the Internet you cannot see anything which is a bugger if you are infront of an ATM and need to put your debit card pin, and you have no internet since most banks block cells inside or there are just so many places where I need data that is not internet related, like airplanes, airports and tons of places where you cannot go online.

I cannot get that link to work guys, I would be very interested in working out some of the IE8 bugs with you as it is my favorite browser (even though plugins usually give it a ton of trouble). Seems like a cool project especially if I can get paid.

I wonder what has happened of these updates. I still don't see a lastpass mobile account, for example.

I use the current Lastpass pocket on a Linux machine and the iPhone app. I'd be interested in testing new versions of either of these.

Thanks!
