Edge browswer for Win 10?

Postby gentleolas » Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:29 pm

Any plans to write a plugin for bookmark sync with the new Edge browser in Win 10?

Apparently bumping doesn't do much. Any chance we can get a reply from someone? I work for Microsoft and would be happy to help link anyone in XMarks/Lastpass to the Edge team.

There's a whole thread about LastPass and Windows 10: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=76872

I don't know about Xmarks. You can always file a support ticket and ask them.

The other thread condemn Microsoft Edge because it doesn't support extension which of course is a more valid issue for LastPass, but to make a working version of Xmarks there is no need of extension, all that has to get done is syncing the Favorites in Edge which do not demand internet browser interaction.

Hope they solve this soon, like today maybe ;)

That is incorrect. An extension or other program of some kind would be needed to sync bookmarks with your centrally stored bookmark database.

Any plans to support Edge? IE is on the way out; LastPass has an extension as do others. What's the plan?

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/m ... i-roadmap/ unfortunately bookmarks are not supported by Edge at this time.

Looks like the bookmark APIs are now supported in Windows 10 (15002) Edge (38) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/extensions/api-support/extension-api-roadmap Hopefully we'll get xMarks in the Edge Browser now.
