LastPass support directed me to uninstall the FF addon, restart my machine, and reinstall it from https://lastpass.com/download/cdn/lp_mac.xpi

Surprisingly, this worked. I'm not sure why it's necessary (or if you really have to reboot), but give it a shot.

Not shown here in Firefox 40.0.3

Running LastPass 3.2.20, which according to about:addons is the latest version and is even newer then the version at https://addons.mozilla.org/da/firefox/a ... er/?src=ss

No version beyond 3.2.16 at https://lastpass.com/upgrade.php?fromwe ... asenotes=1 or https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php

Latest version at addons.mozilla.org is 3.2.16, latest version at lastpass.com is 3.2.16. Where did you get your extension from?

For some reason I had 3.2.20a installed, and LastPass supported told me to uninstall it and reinstall the latest version from their site. I don't know why the version number is lower on their site than the version I had installed on my system, but I did that and now the ad is gone.

Can't see any "x" option? Running latest Cyberfox (at work) and Waterfox (at home) and add-on version 3.2.20a. So no "x".

The lack of actual action by LastPass is a bit annoying on this one.

LastPass did act. The version on lastpass.com don't have the ad anymore. See the reply they sent to my support request:

LastPass support Wrote:Hi there,

Thanks for your email and we're sorry for this inconvenience.

There were several reports already for this issue and our team has issued a fix for our August 28th extension update.
Can you please try to uninstall your LP extension from your Firefox browser and re-install the updated version on our download page - https://lastpass.com/download/cdn/lp_win.xpi

What makes this very confusing is that people are running 3.2.20 and the latest version on their site and addons.mozilla.org is 3.2.16.

It looks it's not really a fix...

The version available as latest at LP webpage has been reverted back to 3.2.16 while previously we were able to download versions 3.2.20 and 3.2.20a.

However the newer version (3.2.25a) is available from Mozilla Add-Ons page in the development channel.

Auto updated to 3.2.21 on Firefox (previous version was rolled back on AMO to 3.2.16 for a while) and message is still there, with no visible way to dismiss it. Where is the promised fix? Seems like you feel it is really important to annoy premium users...

In v3.3.29a, available on https://addons.mozilla.org/da/firefox/a ... d-manager/ in dev channel, you can finally remove that bloody banner.

Sure, but why should one have to install a beta for this? I prefer not to mess with my passwords. And more importantly, why push a version without the fix, again? For me, it looks like if they are trying to push this despite negative feedback.

Really LastPass, your biggest asset is your users' trust. Don't lose that!

I add my voice to all the others asking for removal of the "Try Lastpass Enterprise" message. I am (or was!) a happily paid up LP Premium user. I have ZERO interest in the Enterprise version. I want the message gone. Using FF 41.0 and extension version 3.2.21, there's no close box on the message. Come on Lastpass, stop irritating formerly happy, paid up customers.

Fortunately, the LastPass Enterprise advertising went away when I ticked the "x."

Unfortunately, LastPass is advertising "Give the Gift of Last Pass Premium" as well.

Dear LastPass,

I paid for this. I don't expect any ads, and if I do have ads, I expect them to go away when I tell them to. The little wrench looked likely, but it just took me to more advertising.

Do not do this. It's bad business, and it alienates people.

Sincerely,
A very unhappy paying customer
