Emergency access with two-step authentication

Postby dheller24 » Wed Apr 05, 2017 3:44 pm

I am leaving on a trip. I have read that having access to one's spouse's passwords is a big deal if something bad happens.

If I have two step authentication (I'm using Google Authenticator) how can I ensure my spouse can access my lastpass? Just my password won't do the trick, in this situation.

Would I have to also provide my Google authenticator access info so she can install the app, authenticate, etc?

This all makes me a bit dizzy. LastPass and Google do make life simpler in some ways, but this sounds like a thorny problem. Which, if all this were needed, things would be bad enough without an endless loop of denied access.

Thanks for any insight you might be able to offer

Emergency access bypasses two-factor authentication.
