I was looking to activate LastPass Credit Monitoring and found the following discrepancy.
In the LastPass form fill help section, the following is posted:
"Your data is encrypted locally on your computer with the key that only you know before it is sent to LastPass, so you can securely store your credit card, Social Security Number, phone number, and other sensitive data you wish to easily access."
So, if LastPass cannot read the SSN, how does LastPass do the credit monitoring? This means that LastPass is indeed able to read our details (eg: SSN). Should I be worried? Should I switch my Password manager?
