Multipage Login process?

Postby jarthurs386 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 4:21 pm

How should a user configure LastPass to work with websites that users must go through multiple pages to login?

1. User goes to the website, and the first screen asks for the username.
2. User enters username, clicks Next button
3. 2nd screen shows username in a read only field, and asks for the password.
4. User enters password, and clicks login to complete the login process.

After the password login screen LastPass prompts user to save credentials. When they save the credentials, and return to the original screen... it won't enter the user name.

Can LastPass handle this website with an autologin feature, or must users only use the password vault feature to store the password?

If the extension isn't automatically capturing fields for the multiple pages, then you can use Save All Entered Data to force save them.

I noticed that users have to use the password vault feature, the LastPass can't handle an autologin feature, although it would be nice.

I too, have problems with multi page. Just downloaded free version today. Lots of my sites have the separate pages, so I assume pw managers have resolved this issue by now.

I solved this using 2 LP "sites", one for P1 (username), one for P2 (password). They use form fields but other than that I don't remember how I created them.
