Change of LastPass Password Issue

Postby dewrayh » Sat Nov 07, 2009 3:47 pm

I changed my LastPast login password and a message popped up that said:

"LastPass must reencrypt all of your data because of a key change. This may take a while... Please keep this page open until the poeration completed."

It has been approximately 1 hour since that message appeared. How long can I expect this to take? Just want to make sure nothing is "hung up."

That's too long, it's proportional to the number of accounts you have -- less than 5 minutes in all cases I've seen... Did you get a JavaScript error or lose connectivity (it also depends on internet connectivity). Please logout and back in to try again -- we'll look into adding a counter to give more feedback.

Joe, thanks for the suggestion, however it did not work.

I closed all browsers, relogged into LP using my original pw, opened vault, selected settings, reentered new pw, waited approx 10 minutes and then prepared this reply.

Internet connection is up and running; did other online "stuff" all the while. No java errors either.

I have 45 sites saved in LP for pw purposes.

I will try again after I can restart my system and let you know if that helped, or not.

If anything else comes to mine, please let me know.

Thanks,

Dewey

UPDATE:

I restarted system and tried again. This time I noticed an "error on page" message in the left corner of the status bar at the bottom of the window. The text of the error, after I opened it up is as follows:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; Zune 4.0)
Timestamp: Sat, 7 Nov 2009 21:10:02 UTC

Message: 'length' is null or not an object
Line: 174
Char: 39948
Code: 0
URI: https://lastpass.com/m.php/all?1253132577

Does that help to explain why the pw function is not working on my pc?

I notice the error msg refers to Mozilla; I am running IE version 8.0.

I also have the same issue (same Javascript error). Been trying to change my password for a couple days now. IE and Chrome throw the same error.

I think I see the issue -- could you try again -- sorry for the trouble, thanks for your patience.
