Vista Installation

Postby nick » Tue Aug 26, 2008 6:39 am

Hello

I have just tried to install lastpass.exe and it constantly crashes. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for this?

Cheers

Hi Nick,

Can you please try to download and run https://lastpass.com/lastpassnp.exe

It has more debugging information when a crash occurs. I think we should be able to get to the bottom of it if you can recreate the crash with that version.

Thanks for the help.

Hello

Thank you for your help, however the same problem still seems to be happening. I am also receiving a tray icon pop-up which advises DEP has closed the program to prevent any risk to my machine.

Hope you have a solution to this one.

Kind Regards
Nick

Nick,

I think most of the crashes that people are experiencing are because of old flash players (we are playing a video at the beginning of the installer).

Could you please go to http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon ... d=tn_15507 in IE and let me know what version of flash you are using.

Thanks again for helping me troubleshoot this. I'm hoping this is the problem for you as well.

Nick,

We released a fix that should hopefully resolve this issue.
If you have Flash 9 or greater, the installer will start by playing an introductory video.
If you have an older Flash version installed, a simpler page is displayed.

Could you retry once again and let us know if you're still experiencing the issue?

Thanks
