LastPass did not take log in info

Postby kojaks43 » Wed Aug 11, 2010 8:55 pm

Went to a site that I've not been to since I added LastPass. I went to the site, entered the password and username and clicked in. LastPass was mute. Checked LastPass on Chrome and it never asked to save nor did it save the username and password.

Went back to LastPass and asked to enter the site manually, it asked if I really wanted to do that and I said Yes. Entered the information into LastPass. When I clicked on LastPass, I could see the site. I clicked on it's name and asked that it autofill.

LastPass did nothing.

I am really getting tired how LastPass performs. I like the secure passwords it develops. However, if I cannot see a more reliable interface, I am going to have to copy all of those passwords, dump LastPass, and type those 15 and 20 character, complicated passwords by hand. NOT a happy thought.

I am using Win7 with latest Google Chrome and LastPass Version: 1.69.3 add-on from Google.

Why is LastPass so difficult for me to use???

We really need the URL of the site in question to investigate this.

I used LastPass Icon -> Tools -> Save ALl Entered Data and had no problem with the login page -- highly recommend deleting the Search and term fields.

I'm pleased that you had no difficulty, me, still a problem.

I am using the Google Chrome Add-in for LastPass. When I click on that icon, it provides a drop down that I can expand to my entire LastPass vault. It looks like ImageA (attached). If I use that same icon, AND the site I wish to go to is at the bottom of the small window (not the vault full screen window), I get yet another window. From there I can Edit or Auto Fill.

If I click on Comedy Central edit, I get the image as in Comedy Central LP. Now that information is clearly shown to auto-fill.
When I go to the vault, click on the name Comedy Central, Last Pass will bring me to the site, but it will not Provide the information for log-in. It is not that it enters the information and Comedy Central rejects it, it does not enter anything. I did read the page that you sent me as a link, but that seems to refer to data that was entered and not accepted because it may have been out of date. I am also confused with your recommendation to delete the search and term fields. Where does the Search and Term fields appear? AS you can see from the attachments, I don't have and Search or Term fields, at least none that I use.

In your message to me you said "LastPass Icon -> Tools -> Save ALl Entered Data". Where can you see Tools? Where can you see Save All Entered Data? I have NEVER seen those options when trying to get things entered. Usually, I go to a site, enter my Username and Password and Last Pass asks if I want that information saved. That appears as a color bar just above the sites window. I say yes. I have problems after that. When I go to the site, and ask to change the password to a strong Last Pass password, is when the wheels fall off the Last Pass wagon.

If you will, please go into the posts, find the ones I have written, where no one has responded, and teach me what I am doing wrong. VERY disappointed with LastPass.

I really need you to follow these steps, specifically the last one: https://lastpass.com/help.php?topic=log ... mwebsite=1

Yes, it's different than what you've done before -- that's the point -- the site itself is using DHTML and AJAX to open a sub screen which won't work properly unless you follow the last step of the instructions: https://lastpass.com/help.php?topic=log ... mwebsite=1
