I recently bought a Chromebook and now Lastpass is always active. If you open my Chromebook, you can enter Lastpass.
Before I used WIndows and the settings Log out when all browers are closed and log out after this many minutes worked fine. I have activated the same settings on my Chromebook
I see here more people with the same issue.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with Lastpass?
I hope someone can help me with a solution.
Kind regards,
Maurice

I'm having the same issue on both work and home Windows 10 PCs using Chrome, Brave and Firefox browsers with both work and home Lastpass accounts.

I have the same problem since a few days on my Firefox browser on Imac. Can't pinpoint exactly if there were any software updates or not.
Also find it very frustrating that the lastpass support website doesn't work properly, in english there's no way to contact support
in french to can get here but not the customer support from lastpass
very frustrating

Just wanted to throw my comment into the ring that the fact that this bug made it to Production for a service that's a key component of security for users is really worrying. I've previously promoted Lastpass as a solution to my non-technical friends and family but seriously reconsidering whether I can continue to do that in good faith.

For those users who haven't visited the forum or aren't observant enough to notice that the auto-logout feature isn't working there hasn't been any kind of notification or alert from Lastpass that I've seen to remind them to follow other good practices and ensure their devices are properly secured in addition.

I'll personally be looking at alternative options over the next 6 months.

My subscription comes up for renewal on the 8th of March and as of right now am seriously considering cancelling it and looking for an alternative.
As george09 rightly says can one still recommend it?
Also why is there no way to contact anybody via the help function?
Didn't use to be this bad...

This is VERY serious! All my financials, banks, taxes, etc are easily accessed with LastPass logged on "forever" Must close browser...? Very annoying.

Well, after updating the Lastpass extension, it appears to work again solving the problems exhibited earlier. I will continue to monitor the situation. I hope in the future that when a problem arises to this level, it is fixed sooner.

I now see that extension version 4.41.1 dated Feb 10 has been deployed in my browser. Will see how this works.

Same issue here. Using Chrome 80.0.3987.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Firefox 73.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro 1903 build 189362.592. Lastpass extension Version: 4.41.0
Lastpass extention security configured: log out when all browsers are closed and after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Additionally Lastpast premium subscription prices are my concern: in 2020 is €40.09, in 2019 it was €26.09, in 2018 €24.35, in 2017 €14.00.
I'm using Lastpass a lot, but if the price goes sky-high, I'm considering to look for something else...
I'm willing to pay for a subscription, but I don't want such bugs. I need to be extra aware that I have to manually logout Lastpass every time.
