Also been happening here.... I surmised that at least for tweetdeck its trying to read every live-update on the page to fill in the username and password.... when obviously its not needed.. but it is odd that it didnt cause the hanging before now.. i've used tweetdeck for ages....

I didn't switch from Firefox yet. So, I am facing same issue. Broswer slow down within a few hours. I need to restart to make it usable again.

I am having the same issue with the added problem of it failing to autofill passwords, causing me to have to log in again and copy paste passwords.

Me also. Firefox Developer Edition ver 66.0b2 (64-bit), Windows 10 Pro ver 1803. Do LP developers monitor these forums?

Clearly they don't... can anyone recommend an alternative password manager? :/

Hello,

I'm having a similar issue, although in Chrome, where uploading a file to website is slowed down remarkably (43Mb file goes from about 5s to about 120s). Doing some debugging it seems that the slowdown is caused when the binary data is being passed into JSON.stringify. The particular code that's injected can be seen here and there was a previous forum post about the same code 2 years ago. That thread indicates that the issue was resolved in 4.1.40, but I'm using 4.24.0. The release notes for 4.1.40 say:

v4.1.40 - Feb 9th 2017 -- Chrome
Fixed: LastPass was interfering with the operation of a handful of sites when enabled.
Improved: More accurate prompts, now not prompted to save a site if security questions are submitted.
Fixed: Incorrect detection of username changes when login form is submitted.

There's also another similar current thread about wordpress specifically.

Has this been raised as a support ticket by anyone? I'm just going to raise one just now.

Yes, create a ticket. I am also going to create a ticket for this slowness.

I just disabled 'Highlight input boxes' and 'Automatically Fill Login Information' in LastPass Preferences - seems to have worked around the problem. I don't need that functionality so badly, and certainly not in exchange for poor browser performance.
