Same here. LastPass is severely impacting the performance of the browser. I'm actively looking for alternative password managers in the mean time. :(

One more "me too" on this bad interaction between the LastPass extension and current stable Firefox builds on Windows 10. I've been a paid customer since 2013 and find this lack of response going back to mid-December very disappointing.

Found that lastpass highly slowdown web pages some time ago and also was paid member on different acc, but choose not to prolong further.
Found so far that their main extension script is over 850kb!! mostly minified (which cause nearly 150ms to loading time, both compiling and executing), now take into account that this script gets loaded into every frame (and nested too) before page onload, so blocking page load by 150ms(on my machine) * num_of_frames.
Guess what, page like inbox at gmail.com loads 4s (average) slower on my computer, just by enable/disable lastpass extension.

The only solution that I have found for this that works is to disable Automatically Fill Login Information and Highlight input boxes in LastPass preferences. Since I did that there has not been the constant slow down and bar at the top of Firefox asking to temporarily stop the plugin. This means that you have to manually tell it to fill in the login information, but at least the pages load!

Well, if you look at the unminified javascript, it's over 36,000 lines of code and they have multiple timers that loop infinitely, listening for changes to the DOM, adding event listeners to input fields, and ultimately ruining your browser experience. Lastpass is basically a resource hog and a horribly developed browser extension.

Seems like it's a Firefox bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1514802

It should be fixed next release (version 65). Kudos for lastpass support for pointing me there.

The bug that is mentioned here wasn't the problem. I am running on FireFox 60 ESR so I'm not subject to bugs that are in FireFox 64 and I still had this problem. Plus that "bug notice" clearly goes on to state that the person reporting the bug couldn't reproduce without having LastPass 4.21.0.4 installed and having LastPass 4.18.1.2 installed didn't see the issue. So LastPass was trying to misdirect you to say it wasn't them but it clearly was something in their updated version.

That being said now that LastPass has finally updated and are on 4.23.0.3 I am noticing the issue has mostly gone away. I still have some slowness issues on a couple pages but I no longer get warnings from FireFox that a script in LastPass is slowing things down.

I hope everyone else is seeing this as resolved now as well with the new version released today.

I apparently spoke too soon, some of the pages in my firewall management system are still getting the script slow down error from LastPass but as soon as I disable it everything is fine.

I'm also having this problem. Reverting LastPass to 4.18.1 seems to avoid the problem for now; as soon as I refresh the page that had given men issues, the load times are remarkably faster. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!

Evening all,
Many people with the same issue but still no solution???
Lastpass 4.23.1.1 using firefox 66.0b1 (64-bit) on Xubuntu rig.
Solution: ditch Lastpass as it interferes with our deadlines.
