Well, it has been a month or more since this bug first appeared.
The whining is in my opinion very justifiable. LastPass as a product has managed to become an integral part of the browsing experience, not just for me. But also for companies I have worked for that have switched from nothing or worse to LastPass on my insistence.
Now I have egg on my face, thanks to the inability of LastPass to hotfix a (albeit temporary) null check in their extension code. Turning the extension off and on several times a day and then pulling out my phone to input the two factor auth was never funny.
After this I can never recommend LastPass to anyone ever again. And I am probably going to go elsewhere for the same service. I will certainly not give them any more premium money and will notify the people I convinced to buy LastPass to reconsider, based on this horrible support experience.
Customer loyalty should be a hard earned and well kept commodity, it pains me to see it given little weight in today's world. You might also consider switching to another service based on this incident, but given your previous comment I doubt that you will.
