LastPass extension corrupted, crashes Chrome

I uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it again since other extensions show as corrupted as well (i.e. Norton extensions). Chrome worked good for a few days but the issue popped up again for LastPass and other extensions.

I am thinking to use LastPass www to login instead the Chrome extension.

LastPass extension corrupted, crashes Chrome every time. System: freshly installed Ubuntu, all packages updated, no fiddling. On a different machine with older Ubuntu and older Chrome the extension works fine.

Exact same issue. Brand new Dell XPS 13. Freshly reformated with Ubuntu 16.04. Installed latest Chrome. LastPass plugin says it's corrupted. I click "Repair" and it reinstalls, I enter my username/password/2fa, it briefly opens then crashes. I check the extensions tab again, and again it says corrupted. Same issue if I fully uninstall it, then reinstall it. I've tried with a fresh Chrome profile too with no luck.

Same issue on a chromebook, found a workaround, it seems to be corrupting it when it automactically open the vault on login, close the auto tab before it loads to avoid corruption. Why is it doing this though?
