After working through multiple days of back and forth with LastPass support, I was finally able to get resolution to this problem. This is the message that they sent me, that actually worked:
Can you please make sure that you have the binary component installed? https://lastpass.com/support.php?cmd=showfaq&id=3206
If the "binary plugin" is not installed, it will prompt you to download it. You down load it, close your web browser, run the .exe and then open your web browser.
After doing this, I was able to get the CSV file to export to a saveable file and not get a screen of my data in HTML form.
Hopefully this helps everyone with this issue. Also, it goes without saying...make sure that you have the latest version of the plugin/extension.
