Same issue here. Keeps saying LastPass unable to contact the login server.

Finally I got in so I can reply. Our company has been down all morning. The IT team here is slammed. Angry users all over the US that can't get in. Many are supposed to be logged in and presenting webinars to customers at this moment. We do have a few reports from users that they can get in after sending a company wide email. But we also have a lot of people on hold right now.

Lastpass, you guys are not bulletproof. And at the moment you are incurring financial losses for my company. Maybe you should ease up on the ad language so it isn't so inflammatory right now.

Small percentage of users? Ummm, my company is pretty evenly distributed across the US. I don't buy this unless you were to say something like "lastpass enterprise users are down"

Like everybody else - the site has been reported down for the last several hours. This is a serious issue. It's up, but for how long?
It makes using the randomly generated passwords completely unacceptable - it might be secure, but this is only of theoretical use when you have no access to them.
Right now I regret the money I have paid for LastPass and for my Yubikey.
The only way I can see to have control of my passwords is to crate them myself. LastPass just looks like an unnecessary annoyance. :(

LastPass is doing the best as they can. This situation has given me more motivation to use KeePass as a backup and to save the database file in my personal cloud. I always look at problems as opportunities and this is one of them. :)

Now the status page admit the issue:
We are doing what we can to minize the impact and are working to get the redundant datacenter up as quick as possible.


I mean, redundant datacenters are meant to keep a service alive even if the main server is down. It seems that lastpass redundancy just failed....
I understand you guys, everything can happen, but as for paying customers that can't use their login it's a real pain in the ass!

I hope you will manage to fix all issues as soon as possible, and provide us a brief report of what happened and what you will do to not let this happen again...

Can't even reach the Lastpass.com site now. Downforeveryoneorjustme.com says it is down.

My understanding is LastPass is supposed to still work in the face of connection issues. It looks like that robusness could use some work.

Still seems to be working OK using Firefox, but still getting kicked out using Chrome.

Maybe a browser specific issue?

Hi all,

One of our data centers went down at 3:57 am Eastern Time this morning (Tuesday August 12th). We immediately started taking action to migrate the service to run entirely on a different data center - in the meantime, a percentage of our userbase did experience connection errors with the LastPass service. We have been engaged with our provider the entire time and have been working with them to resolve the issues. We have done everything we can to minimize impact and are working to get the redundant data center up as soon as possible.
