stolen computer with Last Pass installed on financial sites

Postby lbolen102212 » Thu May 16, 2013 1:53 pm

Have I installed Last Pass correctly? Now when I go to a financial site, all I have to do is click on the last pass icon and
all of my information is displayed----What if someone steals my computer?

I am not sure what you mean by "all my information is displayed", but I can guess that you accepted the default install option of staying logged in even after the browser closes. I recommend turning that off. Click on the LP icon, select Preferences. Check both Security boxes and enter 0 in the field for "Automatically logoff when all browsers are closed". For the idle timeout, I use 120 minutes (two hours), but you can pick a value you are comfortable with.

If you do this, you will have to log in to LastPass each time you open the browser, and also if you are idle more than the set time.
