Manually entering passwords

Postby zepe » Wed Aug 24, 2011 11:56 am

I want to know how to enter passwords manually after a new install of LastPass. I don't want to have to log into each site.

This isn't going to give you the most accurate results because we won't be able to read the form fields - please note that if you're talking about a new install of LastPass on another machine, all the passwords in your vault automatically sync.

Right now I'm using LastPass on one computer and I just installed it. I have a spread sheet on a flash drive with a bunch of passwords and I want to get these into LastPass, how can I do it?

Tools > Import from > Generic CSV file. I have not used this so I am not sure how it identifies the fields. You'd also want the URL of each web site's login page for best results. See the documentation for more details.

I just received a newsletter from the How-To-Geek with a link to Nirsoft's WebBrowserPassView v1.12 which I think will do what I need. Thanks to all.
