The LastPass add-on to my linux Firefox browser suddenly stopped working today (May 4, 2019).
The addon is now flagged as follows: "LastPass: Free Password Manager could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled."
I went to the Firefox download site and tried to reinstall. I get the error "Download failed, check your connection".
I went to the LastPass download site to try to install LastPass, and I get the same error.
My connection is fine. I am able to use Firefox to go to dozens of other sites with no problem.
Furthermore, I can go to the lastpass.com site via Firefox with no problem.
I then pulled down this file: lastpass_password_manager-188.8.131.52-fx.xpi
(via this URL: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/2009737/lastpass_password_manager-184.108.40.206-fx.xpi?src=dp-btn-primary
I manually tried to install this from disk via Firefox's addon manager, but I get the following error:
"This addon could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt".
This problem started for me at approximately 3:00 PM, Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-5) on May 4.
Numerous other Firefox users have started reporting the same problem.
